My father and my brother told me that Checiny is the city worth seeing… they have did not lie! The castle looks majestic, great, deserving for kings and queens!
But I have heard, that the city was burned, so I confirmed all old prerogatives, that have been destroyed in the fire. And it was a mining city for a long time staying on the lead and copper hills…and prerogative for a fair of Saint Jadwiga I gave to the Checiny! I also demised part of the castle and district value for my wife to give her the possibility to praise the name of our house in a worthy conditions! Let the fame of Jagiellonowie spread in the mountains and in the valleys, let everyone – and also you tourist – pride on great kings we have on the throne that protect us from enemies. Vivat! Vivat!
