Venimus, Vidimus, Deus Vicit! I have said about our victory in the battle of Vienna and I am not sure if any past and future generation can do more. What a beautiful triumphal arch  was built in Podzamcze for me by my companion and intimate the Checinian Starost Stefan Bidziński!

I thank him so much, because I have not seen such one since years. You have good life here in Checiny…although after many wars and battles the city is a bit destroyed. The enemy taunted Checiny and cities were ruined! But the fame and majesty of Poland will never go by! And also our castle on the hill will be the great memento of our former history. I am John Sobieski born in a great house, the king Vienna winner – remember traveller, that once upon a time you had a great sovereign, the Lion of Lechistan and the faith guard, to whom Poland was always the most important.
